Nashville-based Grupo Nelson, Thomas Nelson’s Spanish-language publishing group, announced last week their new “strategic alliance” with Spanish publisher RBA Editorial. “After several months of researching…[we] have reached an agreement that will benefit both parties,” v-p and publisher Larry Downs said in a press release. “This new partnership…will take some of our key titles to new levels,” said Downs, emphasizing RBA’s “extensive national distribution.”
RBA editorial, which publishes a variety of magazines and nonfiction titles, is a leader in Spain’s publishing industry. The company operates worldwide through arrangements with major players in the industry. (Santillana’s Miami-office distributes RBA titles in the United States.)
Going forward, the two companies will work together to bring popular authors—such as John Maxwell and Stephen Covey—to Spain’s general market.
